At tiny toes ballet, we believe in fostering not only a love for dance but also an appreciation for the wider world. Before Christmas, our older pupils in the Spinners classes (aged 5-7 years) took part in a heartwarming pen pal initiative, connecting with children at Hope House in Uganda.
As part of our ongoing commitment to making a difference, we sponsor Miriam, a child at Hope House and regularly send her supplies while following her educational journey. This special initiative was designed to help our young dancers develop cultural awareness and empathy by connecting with children from a different part of the world.
Our tiny toes ballet students put their hearts into writing letters, creating drawings, and preparing thoughtful presents to send overseas. Miss Emma collected all of the wonderful letters and got them ready to be taken to Uganda!
One of the children we sponsor, Miriam, along with her 38 classmates, received a bag of goodies and personal messages from each of our Spinners classes across the UK. In return, the students at Hope House have written back! Older students and teachers came into the school to help and got every letter replied to, fostering a beautiful exchange of friendship and learning between the two groups.
This initiative not only brought joy to the children in Uganda but also inspired our young dancers, helping them understand the importance of kindness, generosity, and global connection.
