At a young age ballet became more than just a hobby; it became a passion, a way of life and it guided me to a career in theatre and to life as I know it, a tiny toes franchise owner.
Dance taught me vital physical skills to perform professionally but most importantly it gave me confidence, self-belief, mental strength, and a focus for my future.
I am so grateful to have been given so many opportunities which have led me to where I am today and to be the person I am today. I honestly believe the arts has shaped me and my life and how I deal with hurdles, like a pandemic.
Not that any of us could have prepared for this! Watching the arts crumble in such an awful time has been incredibly emotional. Having stood on many stages where performers can no longer stand, is not just being told you cannot go to work. It is having your day to day, your reason for getting up the morning and your wellbeing taken away from you.
Not only does dance and theatre provide many with an enjoyable career, but it creates a world of wonder for its viewers. Many areas of arts are so limited right now and that is why I will continue to hold my head high, give our dancers something to believe in and continue to spread our tiny toes ballet magic!
