At tiny toes ballet, we are proud of our inclusive, unique and pioneering classes. tiny toes remains the only franchise in the UK to offer programmes that are fully integrated with the National Curriculum and EYFS framework. Did you know many of our wonderful ballet teachers are also qualified primary school teachers? Our experienced and hard-working team make the lessons magical for all who attend. As a team, we know how dance can play a crucial part in early learning, physical development, neurological growth, social interactions and above all… it’s great fun! Our inclusive classes have always allowed children of all abilities to learn, thrive and most importantly to enjoy the wonderful benefits ballet has to offer.
This is why, from September tiny toes ballet are offering fully inclusive and specially adapted classes in addition to our mainstream classes. These will be specifically suited to children with additional needs. Whilst our mainstream classes have always been accessible to children of all abilities, we felt passionate about creating lessons where children’s additional needs were intrinsic to the programme. To ensure our classes are fully accessible we have worked closely with a qualified physiotherapist and experienced inclusive dance teacher. Many of our teachers, including our founder, Miss Emma, are also fully qualified ParaDance teachers. (ParaDance UK is a charity that trains staff in inclusive dance delivery and has developed many successful athletes, some at an international level, from their training and classes). This gives our brilliant teachers the experience and wealth of knowledge to deliver a fully bespoke, adapted and inclusive programme for children with additional needs.
Lots of our existing parents are excited about our new classes. One of our fabulous dancers, Ellie-Mai has been attending since she was a small baby. It is always so wonderful to see how our dancers progress over the years they spend with us, but it is especially lovely when the families of our dancers share their thoughts with us too.
‘I can’t wait for the fully inclusive class - my daughter has been with Tiny Toes since she was a baby, and flourished in the caring atmosphere - her hearing issues have never been a problem as the teachers are so friendly, patient and caring, valuing each child’s uniqueness. If you are wondering whether it would be right for your child, I'd say try it for sure!’
